Dr. Kate Halinski is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. From 2009-2016, she worked as an Adjunct Professor in the Professional Counseling Masters Program at Texas State University, teaching a variety of clinical courses focusing on child and adult counseling.
Dr. Halinski received her B.S. in Communication Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of North Texas. She received her play therapy training from the top ranked play therapy program in the world, the University of North Texas.
Dr. Halinski has a variety of clinical experiences that qualifies her to counsel children, adolescents and adults. She has worked in private practice, specializing in individual and group treatment of adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders. Dr. Halinski has experience working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, ocd, grief, abuse and trauma. Additionally, she has experience as a play therapist working in community counseling settings as well as in elementary schools.
